Darkness is more than evil. It includes spiritual blindness, apathy and confusion. Missing Jesus = spiritual blindness and confusion. Believe what the Bible is saying when it says the world is a dark place, even when the world celebrates and gives eloquent arguments justifying what the Bible calls sin.

The dark state of the world is not God’s fault. It is the way it is because of humanity’s rebellion against God (Bible verse). When you’re angry, depressed or frustrated because you experienced the darkness of the world, cry out to God. Talk to Him about your hurt and even anger. He cares (Bible verse). Cutting off communication with Him is counterproductive (Bible verse). He is working in the world even though it can often feel God-forsaken (Bible verse). Jesus is always the solution when things go south. Prioritise walking closely with Him.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Template:Quote

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” Template:Quote
